Right, so to the point, I don't think the political system will be going as well as people like to think. I have my doubts that the EVE player base will be migrating to World of Darkness, since, as previously stated, they are two very different themes plus considering the fact that WoD intends to be a MATURE game, the would-be numbers of migrations would be, once again, reduced. So I'll give it the benefit of the doubt with only one wish - that is not more complicated that it has to be. But as I said, I am no EVE player so I understand there is much I don't know about the game since reading about something and experiencing something are two very different things. I mean sure they'll have to adapt the system, as in you won't need mining colonies to harvest blood. That's all nice and good, but you have to consider two things.įirst it's the theme. I have friends who do, but I understand it's gonna follow similar political systems. That being said, let's talk about the social aspect of the MMO project. That is the feeling and that is the theme I would love to experience again, with better visual stimulation, better mechanics and less bugs. I don't think I need to remind anyone who has played that game their first experience with the Haunted Hotel, sitting alone in a dark room questioning what you've gotten yourself into. You were alone in the dark night where dark things existed, the only comfort you had was the knowledge that you were part of it too, a really small part. No, it was the palpable feeling of horror and dread. Not the condition of the game, because it was buggy like hell. Not the mechanics, because they were pretty superficial. I loved that game and it was not because of it's graphics, because I played it in 2011 and by then it was considered "low tech". Having played Bloodlines and having my mind blown away by that game got me questioning my grasp on reality and I'm not talking about suddenly believing in elusive vampires scaling buildings or whatever, but, in lack of a better therm, my grasp on the virtual reality. Before getting into the first "illusion" of the upcoming MMO, let me say that I am not one of the Hardcore fans of the World of Darkness.
